About

The "scriptorium" was a room in medieval monasteries dedicated to the copying, writing, and illumination of manuscripts. Owing to the tireless efforts of countless monks and professed religious over the course of centuries, the cultural and literary heritage of Western Christianity was preserved in such scriptoria. Inspired by the labors and spirit of our forebears in the holy Catholic religion, the Fraternity of St Albert aims to establish this publication as a modern scriptorium of sorts for our contemporary, digital age as a means of providing a platform for members of the Fraternity to share and circulate their ideas and thoughts on a wide variety of subjects (including, but by no means limited to, theology, philosophy, mathematics, the natural sciences, music, technology, liturgy, politics, and law, among others), in humble service to society, the Catholic Church, and to the glory of the all-holy Trinity.
